What does Paul mean in 2 Corinthians 8:13 when he says he does not want others eased and you burdened?

Paul means he refuses to relieve one group by making another feel burdened or obligated to give. Giving must arise from a willing mind and be accepted according to what a person has, not according to what they lack. He will not use his presence to pressure wealthy or poor believers into supporting the ministry.

Les explains that God is making it clear giving is based on the ability to give. In verse 13, Paul says he is not going to make anybody, whether wealthy or poor, feel obligated to give because of his presence. The teacher illustrates this by saying people on a meager income should not feel obligated to support the ministry; if they give, it is between them and God. Then verses 16-24 speak of the men coming to pick up the offerings, showing the need for integrity in handling the affairs of God.
