What kinds of people do Christians who work in big offices or plants encounter?
Christians who work in large office complexes or production facilities rub elbows with a cross section of society. They encounter immoral or fornicating people, the covetous, extortioners, and idolaters. Paul says such people are in this world, and avoiding every one of these classes would require leaving the world altogether.
Les teaches that Paul, by Holy Spirit inspiration, was answering the Corinthians' letter about how they should deal with these matters. Paul wrote not to company with fornicators or immoral people, but not altogether with the fornicators of this world, the covetous, extortioners, or idolaters, because otherwise believers would have to go out of this world. Les explains that if a person went through a whole week and never rubbed elbows with someone immoral or in some sort of gross sin, they would have to leave this world. The same problems from Corinth in A.D. 60 continue because the human race does not change. Christians in large office complexes or production facilities, even in Oklahoma, rub elbows with the cross section of society and every one of these classes.
