What did Paul mean when he said 'that I may know him and the power of his resurrection'?

Paul meant he wanted to know Christ intimately, on a person-to-person basis, and to know the power of His resurrection. Without belief in the resurrection there is no salvation and no power; the resurrection is the very heart of the Gospel and marks true Christianity apart from the religions of the world.

Les explains that Paul's statement in Philippians 4:10 expresses a desire to know Christ intimately on a person-to-person basis and to experience the power of His resurrection. Les teaches that if a person cannot believe the resurrection today, then they have no salvation, no power, and are destitute. The resurrection is the very heart of the Gospel and is what makes all the difference between Christianity, true Christianity, and the religions of the world. Those religions may claim reincarnation, but they know nothing of resurrection power. Paul is also presented as the example believers follow, and because Paul was just as human as we are, if he could endure, then by God's grace we can too.

Philippians 4:10

But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
