Why has God left believers here on earth instead of taking them home?
God has left believers here on earth to bring honor and glory to His name. They are to live and breathe with the aim that one day they might have the praise of God. Their present existence is for the purpose of honoring Him.
Les explains that while things in themselves are not wrong, the issue is the priority people give them. Believers are to live and breathe with the goal that one day they might have the praise of God. He states that this is why God has left us here—to bring honor and glory to His name. The surrounding passage also warns against being puffed up and thinking of men above what is written, showing that practical humility and proper focus on God's glory are part of fulfilling this purpose.
