Why would God take a believer who refuses to return and bring honor to Him out of this world?
God takes an unrepentant believer out of this world to stop that person from bringing reproach upon His name. God's discipline may first correct, then intensify, but if a believer still refuses to return and honor God, He removes them so His name is no longer dragged through the mud; this does not mean they were lost.
Les teaches that God disciplines believers much like a parent corrects a child. He begins with discipline, and if discipline will not do, He gives a whipping; if that still does not do it, the believer is out of here. Les says he has seen it happen: a believer refuses to come back and bring honor to the glory of God just that quick, and they are gone. He does not believe they were lost, but that God took them out for a purpose, so they would no longer bring reproach to His name. This also shows that free will does not mean sinning freely because grace is greater, for God will not let His name be dragged through the mud of this world.
