What access to the Gospel and Bible does America have?

Les explains that America has had the Gospel preached, and the Bible is trusted in almost every home, in every library, and wherever you go there are copies of the Scriptures. Yet he observes that very few in America know we are approaching the end time. He compares this to Israel, who should have known who Jesus was because the Old Testament was full of Him, but Israel did not know. He cautions not to jump all over the Jew for their ignorance, because America, despite all its Bibles, also largely knows nothing of biblical prophecy or the details God has already laid out. Even with such widespread access, few understand that the Lord is about to intervene in human history.
