What does the Bible say about the claim that God is through with Israel?
Romans 11:25 teaches that God is not through with Israel. Paul calls Israel's partial blindness a mystery or secret that lasts only until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in. Scripture says God will return, fulfill every promise to Israel, and Israel will yet be restored, not permanently cast aside.
Les teaches that Romans 11 is the great chapter where Paul makes it certain God is not through with the nation of Israel. Though much literature claims He is, the book says He is still going to return one day, soon, and fulfill everything He promised to Israel. Chapter 11 shows He will yet come back to Israel. Verse 25 reveals a mystery or secret: blindness in part has happened to Israel—not forever, but for 1900 and some years—until the fullness of the Gentiles be brought in. The Old Testament understood God would save Gentiles, but not that it would be without Israel; Isaiah and other prophecies expected Israel, once obedient as a kingdom of priests, to evangelize the Gentiles.
