Who does God want to use?

God wants to use every last one of us. Whether a believer is weak and a babe in Christ, still a little carnal, or further up the ladder and more spiritual than average, He desires to work through each one. No one must be a great spiritual giant to do the work God has for them.

Les explains that Paul writes to the Corinthians so they will not become discouraged. Yes, they are carnal and still babes in Christ, but they are laboring with the Eternal Sovereign God. Les teaches that you do not have to be the great spiritual giant that some theologians seem to be in our eyes in order to do the work God has for us. God wants to use every last one of us, whether weak and a babe, maybe a little carnal, or further up the ladder and more spiritual than the average. Paul says we are laborers together, God's husbandry, and God's building. The possessive term is with God; He owns everything and every one of us by the redemption price of His shed blood. The preaching of the cross gets people into this position, and nothing else will do. As believers in the finished work of the cross, God is our partner, our overseer, and the one over everything we say, think, and do. We are His workmanship, His husbandry, and God's building.
