How many words does it take to sow the seed?

Sowing the seed can require only a couple or three words—perhaps a brief statement that causes someone to consider eternity. The power is not in the quantity of words but in God, who gives the increase and finishes the work of salvation.

Les explains that whether we are the planter or the waterer, that isn't what counts; God gives the increase. Paul didn't take credit for salvation, nor should we, because God does the saving. Les says we sow the seed, and sometimes it only takes just a couple or three words—a little statement that will make someone sit up and take notice about eternity. That is sowing the seed. Then something else may happen, the person gets a hunger, and God moves in and finishes the work of salvation.

1 Corinthians 3:8

Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
