Who did Paul meet when he arrived in Corinth after leaving Athens?
After leaving Athens, Paul arrived in Corinth and found Aquila, a Jew from Pontus who had lately come from Italy with his wife Priscilla because of the demand to depart from Rome. Paul came to them in Corinth, stayed, and worked with them, since they were tentmakers.
Les teaches that after Paul departed from Athens he came to Corinth and found Aquila, a certain Jew born in Pontus, lately come from Italy with his wife Priscilla because of the demand to depart from Rome. Paul came unto Priscilla and Aquila in Corinth. Since he was of the same craft, he abode with them and worked, for by their occupation they were tent makers. He also reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath and persuaded Jews and Greeks. Even while spending daily time at their trade, Paul constantly talked about his Gospel.
