What does Paul say in Romans 3:9 about Jews and Gentiles?

Paul asks whether Jews are better than Gentiles and answers no, in no wise, because he has already proved that both Jews and Gentiles are all under sin. Every Jew and every non-Jew has disobeyed God's revealed will, which is sin.

Les teaches that Romans 3:9 is comparing Scripture with Scripture. Paul asks, "What then? are we Jews better than they, those Gentiles? No, in no wise. For we have before been proved that both Jews and Gentiles are all under sin." Les explains this means every Jew who ever lived and every non-Jew who ever lived has been guilty of disobeying the revealed will of God, and that is sin. This does not contradict what was said to Eve in Genesis 3 or Ezekiel's statement that the soul that sinneth shall surely die; Paul does not disagree one iota.
