How was Paul called to preach among the Gentiles?

Paul was called by grace to preach among the Gentiles. God revealed His Son in him so that he might preach Him to the heathen or Gentiles rather than the Jews. This commission traces to Acts chapter 9, and immediately Paul did not confer with flesh and blood.

Les explains that Paul testifies he had been called by grace to preach among the Gentiles, and when that call came he immediately says he conferred not with flesh and blood. God revealed His Son in him so that he might preach Him not among the Jews but to the heathen or Gentiles, and that is why he was commissioned back in Acts chapter 9. Les also illustrates waiting on God's opening with the account of a young man in North Carolina who absorbed the Scriptures and wanted an opportunity to use what he had learned. He was told to wait, then became a shortwave ham operator and had as many as twenty to twenty-five men listening as he taught the Scriptures over the shortwave. Paul's call to the Gentiles was therefore God-given, not dependent on conferring with flesh and blood.
