Les Feldick Bible Study

Do people who have been in church all their lives know why Christ died?

Many lifelong churchgoers do not truly know why Christ died. They may mentally acknowledge that Jesus was crucified and raised, but they lack the personal realization that He died for them. When that truth becomes personal, it changes everything. This is the preaching of the cross, which many reject as foolishness.

Les explains that a lady told him she had been in church all her life and never knew why Christ died. He says she is not alone, because millions sit in the pews with only a mental comprehension that Jesus of the Bible was crucified and raised from the dead. They really do not know why He died, and they have no affinity to the fact that when He died, He died for them. When she suddenly realized that He died for her, that made all the difference. Les connects this to the preaching of the cross, which the world wants nothing to do with and considers foolishness.
