Les Feldick Bible Study

Do many people understand God's grace?

No. Scripture indicates that God's grace is something very few people comprehend. The multitudes go up and down streets and highways, yet hardly anyone stops to think about eternity or the meaning of a holy God taking on human flesh, dying on a Roman cross, and rising again to save lost humanity.

Les teaches that the gospel of grace is something very few people comprehend. Paul communicated a gospel among the Gentiles that was totally different from what Peter and the eleven preached to the Jew, though it is the same God. Now God deals not just with Israel under the law and kingdom economy, but goes to the Gentile world as well as the Jew, not with the gospel of the kingdom, but with the gospel of the grace of God. That grace is how a holy, righteous God in His own person came down amongst sinful men, took on human flesh, went to the Roman cross to be tortured, crucified, shed His blood, and was raised from the dead to save lost humanity. It is all grace. Yet Les uses the illustration of multitudes going up and down our streets and highways, zipping along three lanes thick, and asks how many ever stop to think of eternity. It boggles the mind that no one stops to think anymore, and there is a life to come.
