Why can't you judge another man's servant?
You cannot judge another man's servant because you are not his boss, you do not pay his wages, and he is not your employee. God alone is the judge who received him; God is the one who will do it, so judging others is outside your authority.
Les explains that Paul uses an everyday example to make the point: a servant answers to his own master, not to someone who is not his boss and does not pay his wages. Judging him does no good because he is not your employee. Paul applies this by saying, "Don't judge someone else. You're not the boss. God is." Earlier in the same context, Paul writes, "Let not him who eateth not, judge him who eateth." The Book reminds us in Romans 8 that no one can judge us in anything, because the one who died for me is the only judge. Les teaches that when you encounter other believers whose lifestyle you think is wrong, you are in no position to judge. You may point them to Scripture, but you cannot judge another person; Paul rejects that out of hand. God hath received him, and God is the one who will do it.
