What happens to the Jews God protects during the final three and a half years of the tribulation?
God completely insulates this group of Jews from harm, feeds them where they are protected, and preserves them throughout the final three and a half years. Though the Antichrist, indwelt by Satan, pursues them like Pharaoh pursued Israel, they remain under God's sovereign, mandated protection.
Les teaches that wherever this group of Jews is being protected, they will be completely insulated from what is happening, and God will feed them there and protect them throughout that final three and a half years. He emphasizes that at the midpoint of the tribulation many events converge: the Antichrist comes from his headquarters—Les suggests Europe—to Jerusalem, and at the same moment Satan is cast out of heaven and indwells the Antichrist, just as Satan entered Judas. When Satan in the Antichrist sees this escaping group of Jews, probably quite a few thousand, he sends an army after them, as Pharaoh did after the escaping Jews from Egypt. The Antichrist casts out water as a flood after the woman, or these escaping Israelites, to destroy them, but they are under God's sovereign, mandated protection.
