What does it mean that blindness in part happened to Israel?

Blindness in part means Israel's spiritual blindness is temporary, not forever or absolute from here to eternity. It happened for a period of time, until the fullness of the Gentiles—the Body of Christ—is brought in. Then the blindness will fall from Israel, and God will pick up where He left off with them.

Les explains that Israel's blindness is part of the mystery. Nothing in Scripture foretold that Israel would be spiritually blinded for a long period of about 1,900 and something years. The phrase 'in part' means it is not forever or absolute from here to eternity but only for a period of time. The next word, 'until,' is a time word: Israel will remain blinded until the fullness of the Gentiles is brought in, which Les identifies as the Body of Christ. When that fullness is complete, the blindness will fall from Israel, and God will once again pick up where He left off with them.

Romans 11:25

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
