Les Feldick Bible Study

What happened to the Gentiles while Israel was blinded?

During the interim while Israel was blinded, Gentiles were brought into the place of blessing. They became recipients of God's goodness and grace, though they are warned not to be high-minded but to fear, since God can also break off the Gentile if they reject His offer.

Les teaches that while Israel was blinded, Gentiles were brought into the place of blessing. He warns Gentiles not to be high-minded but to fear, since if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare the Gentiles either if they reject His offer of grace. Les notes that the Gentiles are fast approaching the same place where God will finally get fed up with the Gentile world system that rejects His blessings and believing who He is. When God is through with the Gentile, He will put the Jew back, fulfilling all promises made to Abraham. Thus the Gentiles' place of blessing is an interim situation, and God is not through with Israel.

Romans 11:17

And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

Romans 11:25

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
