Les Feldick Bible Study

Why is it wrong to criticize the Bible if you have never read it?

Criticizing the Bible without reading it is inconsistent: people do not condemn a book of fiction they have never read or say it is not worth reading. Since the Bible is still a book, it should be studied before anyone criticizes or scoffs at it.

Les explains that most people judge the Bible without ever looking at it. He compares this to asking whether someone would comment on a book of fiction they never read, or tell someone that book isn't worth reading; they would say no. He then asks why they do it to this book, because it is still a book. All he asks is that before people begin to criticize it and scoff at it, they take some time and study it.
