What did the man say happened when the Lord opened his eyes?
The man testified that all of a sudden one day the Lord opened his eyes, somehow or other, and he said, 'I believed it.' He also said everything changed. That is what it is. This was his testimony about the change he experienced.
Les explains that the man said, 'All of a sudden one day the Lord opened his eyes, somehow or other,' and then he said, 'I believed it.' He also said everything changed. Les adds, 'And that's what it is.' In the flow of the context, Les then points to verse 16, where the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, and verse 17, where those who are alive and remain shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air—the words believers have coined as the rapture.
