Does God still hate the things He hated in the Old Testament?

Yes. Scripture presents God as unchanging and sovereign; the things He hated in the Old Testament economy, He still hates today. The things He forbade Israel under the Levitical system, He still does not condone today, though believers now live under different responsibilities.

Les explains that the God of the Old Testament is the same God of the New, even though we are under a whole different set of responsibilities. God is sovereign, absolute, holy, righteous, loving, kind, merciful, and patient. He has every right to keep things secret as long as He wants and to reveal them when He is ready. In His unchanging character, the things God hated in the Old Testament economy He still hates today, and the things He forbade Israel in the Levitical system He still does not condone today. Even though this was spoken by Moses to Israel, He is the same God and the same secret holder we deal with today.
