Les Feldick Bible Study

What blessings do Gentiles enjoy because Israel was set aside?

Because Israel was set aside, Gentiles were grafted into the good olive tree and made partakers of the fatness of the Abrahamic promises. They enjoy all the possibilities of salvation and blessing that Israel once had, though warned they too can be cut off if they reject it.

Les teaches that Israel was set aside for over 1900 years, but God is not through with Israel and will graft them in again. The Gentiles are pictured as a wild olive tree, no good and pagan, whom God had no reason to receive except by grace. He took those no-good Gentiles, brought them in, and made them part of the fatness of the Abrahamic promises. So they have been enjoying all the possibilities of salvation and blessing that Israel at one time had. But Les warns that if Gentiles reject this like Israel did, they will be cut off as well; the day is coming when God will stop the age of grace, set the Gentiles into the horrors of the tribulation, and turn again to His covenant people.

Romans 11:24

For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
