How many Jews are being saved now, and has God always preserved a remnant?
A few Jews are being saved now, and they constitute only a remnant while God has turned to the Gentiles during this present age. Yes, God has always preserved a remnant of His people Israel, never casting them aside, and He will yet restore and finish His dealing with Israel according to His covenant promises.
Les explains that God has not cast aside His people Israel; they remain in His program. They have been set aside for over 1900 years while God has turned to the Gentiles. During this time only a few Jews are saved, just a remnant, but God has always kept His remnant. Les warns not to subscribe to the idea that God is through with the Jew. Israel is currently out there in unbelief, and its government in Jerusalem is just as secular as other governments and under Satan. Yet God still has His eye on them as His covenant people. The day is coming at the end of chapter 11 when God will come back and finish His dealing with Israel. They will yet enjoy all the covenant promises and a glorious earthly kingdom, and all the earthly promises given to the nation will come to fruition.
Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
