What lesson does Genesis teach about God's plan for Paul?

Genesis teaches that God already had the apostle Paul on His mind, along with prophecies concerning the Messiah. Saul of Tarsus became Paul, the great apostle, who suffered for the gospel and whose ministry swept Christianity across the Roman Empire. Paul also fits as a lesser type alongside Christ, showing God's plan included him.

Les explains that Saul was a raging bull, a religious zealot hating anything concerning Jesus of Nazareth, and in God's eyes a heartache, much like the two names of Benjamin. But Saul had another side, just as Benjamin did. He became Paul, the great apostle, who thrilled God's heart as he suffered repeatedly for the sake of the gospel. Because of that one little Jew, Christianity swept across the Roman Empire. Les sees a tremendous lesson: way back in Genesis, God already had the apostle Paul on His mind, as well as the prophecies concerning the Messiah. While not taking away from the type of Christ in Genesis, Paul fits beautifully in a lesser role and on a smaller scale. God is not through with His covenant people, and Paul himself was a Jew, a son of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
