How does God reckon faith throughout Scripture?

Throughout Scripture, God reckons faith when He speaks and people respond to what He says. Noah, by faith, responded to God's command and built the ark; Abraham, by faith, left Ur when God told him. Now God reckons faith when Gentiles believe the Gospel revealed through Paul.

Les explains that this pattern runs all the way up through Scripture: when God speaks and men respond to it, God sees it as faith and reckons that faith. Hebrews 11 says that by faith Noah responded to what God told him to do and built an ark. Abraham, by faith, left Ur of the Chaldees when God said to. Les teaches the same principle now applies with the Gospel: it has been revealed, and the Apostle Paul brought it out to the Gentile world. God now lays responsibility upon Gentiles to believe the Gospel Paul calls My Gospel, the Gospel of the Grace of God, the Gospel he preached among the Gentiles, and the Gospel of the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the secret kept secret from ages past. So today we are to believe what God has revealed.
