What is the Gospel of grace that we must believe?
The Gospel of grace is the revealed truth that Christ died, shed His blood, was buried, and rose from the dead. God says this is all that is necessary for salvation. We must believe it by faith plus nothing, hearing the Word of God.
Les explains that the Gospel of grace was not revealed to Adam and Eve or Abraham; it was kept secret and held in the mind of God until He revealed it in His own time. Now that God has revealed that Christ died, shed His blood, was buried, and rose from the dead, He expects us to believe it. Salvation is by faith plus nothing in what He has now proclaimed. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
