What happens when we enter in by faith and experience salvation?
When a person enters in by faith and experiences salvation, they receive the new birth, become a child of God, are forgiven, sanctified, glorified, baptized into the Body, and indwelt by the Holy Spirit. Consequently, Christ becomes Lord of their life.
Les explains that when we enter in by faith, we experience the new birth, become a child of God, and experience all the things from chapter 1 concerning salvation: we are forgiven, sanctified, glorified, baptized into the Body, and indwelt by the Holy Spirit. Then one of the other things that happens is that Christ becomes Lord of our life. Les says that follows as naturally as daylight follows dark. That is what Paul is saying. Les also clarifies that this verse is not saying you must stand before a congregation and give your testimony to be proclaimed a believer; rather, when you have entered into a salvation experience, you are not going to keep it to yourself.
