What will God do after He finishes calling out Gentiles?
After completing the calling out of Gentiles, God will turn back to His covenant people, Israel. This is the sequence Paul sets forth in Romans 11. The Gentiles called out become children of the living God, but God's future dealing will again focus on Israel.
Les explains that Gentiles who were never reckoned in the Old Testament to have anything to do with Israel's God are now called out from among the Gentiles and called to Himself. When He is through with that calling, He will then turn back to His covenant people, Israel, as Romans 11 shows. Meanwhile, believers as members of the Body of Christ enjoy a position even Israel will never attain to. They are the born ones of God, will be the Bride of Christ, joint heirs with Christ, and will rule and reign with Him.
As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.
What has God done among the Gentiles now?
God has called out a people from among the Gentiles, calling them to Himself. These Gentiles, once not reckoned as God's people, are now called the children of the living God. This calling is distinct from Israel and will continue until God turns back to Israel.
What happens if Gentiles reject God like Israel did?
Scripture warns that if Gentiles reject God's salvation as Israel did, they will be cut off just as Israel was. God will stop the age of grace, cast them aside, and set them into the horrors of the tribulation, while turning again to His covenant people.
