What happens if Gentiles reject God like Israel did?
Scripture warns that if Gentiles reject God's salvation as Israel did, they will be cut off just as Israel was. God will stop the age of grace, cast them aside, and set them into the horrors of the tribulation, while turning again to His covenant people.
Les teaches that Gentiles are pictured as a wild olive tree, unproductive and pagan, brought into the fatness of the Abrahamic promises only by grace. He warns that if Gentiles reject all this as Israel did, they will be cut off just as Israel was; it is going to happen. The day is coming when God will stop the age of grace, set the Gentiles into the horrors of the tribulation, and turn again to His covenant people. Then, completing Romans 11:24, if Gentiles were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree, how much more shall Israel, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree. God, who broke off natural Israel and grafted in wild Gentiles, will do the same to Gentiles if they persist in rejection, casting them aside.
