What will God do with Israel in the future?
God will bring Israel back to the land and one day pick up where He left off with His covenant people. Although Israel has been set aside for about 2,000 years, God is not through with the nation; He has not given up on them, and the Jew remains His chosen people.
Les explains that Romans 9–11 deals with the nation of Israel: chapter 9 covers Israel’s past, chapter 10 covers Israel today in the age of grace, and chapter 11 looks at what is still ahead. He emphasizes that while much of Christendom believes God is through with Israel, Scripture is adamant that although God set Israel aside for the last 2,000 years, He will one day bring them back to the land and pick up where He left off with His covenant people. The Jew remains God’s chosen people even in unbelief and spiritual blindness; God has not given up on them.
