How does the seed of the woman in Genesis 3:15 connect to the Jewish patriarchs and Israel?

The seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15 is the promised line that continues through the Jewish patriarchs and the nation of Israel. Scripture traces this seed to David, and it is fulfilled in Christ, who was made of David’s seed according to the flesh. All covenant promises rest on God’s promise of this coming seed.

Les teaches that the seed of the woman in Genesis 3:15 is the same thread that keeps chasing all the way through Scripture. It comes right on up through the Jewish patriarchs and through the little nation of Israel. The covenant promises discussed across the whole four programs are all based on God’s promise of the coming of the seed of the woman, which is Christ. Paul then writes that Jesus Christ our Lord was made of the seed of David according to the flesh, showing why He is the God-man.

Genesis 3:15

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
