How does the promise of the seed of the woman in Genesis 3:15 unfold through Scripture?

The promise of the seed of the woman in Genesis 3:15 unfolds through Scripture by coming up through the Jewish patriarchs and the nation of Israel. All covenant promises rest on God's promise of the coming seed, who is Christ, made of the seed of David according to the flesh, foreshadowed in Psalms 22 and Isaiah 53.

Les teaches that the promise of the seed of the woman in Genesis 3:15 was in veiled language, but with understanding we can go back and see it. He explains that the seed of the woman would come right on up through the Jewish patriarchs and through the little nation of Israel. All the covenant promises, the whole four programs, are based on God's promise of the coming of the seed of the woman, which is Christ. The verse concerning His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, says He was made of the seed of David according to the flesh, showing why He is the God-man. Les also points out that Psalms 22, Isaiah 53, and various other places contain graphic language of His death, burial, and resurrection. He then notes that Christ was declared to be the Son of God with power, manifested through His miracles during His three years of earthly ministry, one miracle after another, including His power over nature when He was in the boat on the Sea of Galilee during a storm, and the disciples woke Him, worried.

Genesis 3:15

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
