What does the number 8 mean in Bible numerology?

In Bible numerology, the number 8 signifies new beginnings or something that goes beyond the finish. It follows the number 7, which represents God's completion. An eighth item after seven completed things points to a fresh start or continuation beyond completion.

Les teaches that when you put this into the numerology of Scripture, 7 is always God's number of completion, and an 8th of whatever it is is always new beginnings or something that goes beyond the finish. He points out that in Romans 9:4 Paul unloads 8 distinctive statements. Les explains Paul did not meditate for hours trying to find 7 things and then come up with an 8th; rather, Paul penned as the Holy Spirit gave him utterance. Les says we can look at it and say, isn't it miraculous? This pattern has been with us all the way through Scripture: 7 things, but also an 8th one.
