Are there big differences between how God deals with Israel and how He deals with the church age?

Scripture indicates vast differences exist between God's dealing with Israel and His dealing with the church age. Apparent contradictions often arise because one passage concerns Israel while another concerns the church age. Romans 9–11 is parenthetical, addressing Israel's past, God's present dealing with Israel, and Israel's future, before the narrative returns to Romans 8.

Les teaches that apparent contradictions in Scripture often stem from God dealing with Israel in one instance and with the church age in another, and there are vast differences between those dealings. He points out that Romans 9, 10, and 11 are parenthetical chapters sitting in the middle of Romans. Paul suddenly digresses to deal with the Jew: chapter 9 covers Israel's past, chapter 10 covers God's present dealing with Israel, and chapter 11 covers Israel's future. Then the flow goes right back to where it left off with Romans 8 and moves into chapter 12.
