Why does God deal with us differently today than He dealt with Israel?
God deals with us differently because we are now on resurrection ground, a far different circumstance from His dealings with Israel. Although God Himself has not changed, the secret is to recognize to whom each portion of Scripture is written or spoken, so we do not bring what God said to Israel directly into today.
Les explains that the whole secret is to always remember to whom a particular portion is writing or speaking. He warns not to get confused with what God said to Israel and bring it in as apropos today. Yet this does not mean the things God hated in the land of Israel in the Old Testament He does not still hate today. God has not changed; the God of Israel and Genesis is still the same God we deal with today. But He deals with us on far different circumstances, because we are now on resurrection ground.
