Les teaches that Christ's death was universal in scope. He points out that alongside verses about predestination and being chosen before the foundation of the world, there are verses like 'whosoever will may come' and 'Christ tasted death for every man.' Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5 that if He died for all, then we're all dead, meaning the whole human race. Les explains that Christ did not die just for the small percentage who become believers, but for every man, woman, and child ever born into the family of Adam. He notes these two facets—God's foreknowledge and choice versus universal provision—cannot be reconciled by us because it is beyond us.
