What changes when we go from time into eternity?
When moving from time into eternity, the entire set of circumstances changes because eternity is outside of time and time becomes irrelevant. Thousands of years, such as the 6,000 since Adam, will seem like no time at all to those in eternity, as they will not realize the elapsed duration.
Les explains that going from time into eternity is a whole different set of circumstances because eternity is out of time and time is not relevant. He illustrates that even though Adam has been dead 6,000 years, when all this takes place, Adam will think it was just that much time had elapsed and won't realize 6,000 years have gone by. He also notes that our loved ones in glory are not walking streets of gold or singing hallelujahs because they are not in a body; the body has not experienced redemption and is still under the curse, so we get sick, wounded, and die unless the Lord comes. The redemption of the body is what we wait for, and the curse will be lifted when He rules as King of kings and Lord of lords.
