Les Feldick Bible Study

Will a nursing baby be safe over a poisonous snake's hole in the future kingdom?

Yes. In the future kingdom, a nursing baby will be safe even over the hole of a poisonous snake. Scripture says a nursing child will play on the asp’s hole, and a weaned child will put his hand on a cockatrice’s den. There will be no fear; nothing will hurt or destroy in the holy mountain.

Les teaches that the coming kingdom reverses the curse. Under the curse, predators pick on the baby of a species—maybe a baby deer or baby zebra—something that can’t keep up. But when the curse is lifted, the leopard lies down with the kid, the calf, the young lion, and the fatling pasture together, and a little child leads them. Mamas won’t have to worry about their kids among leopards and lions. The cow and the bear feed together, and their young lie down together. The lion will eat straw or grass or forage just like the cow does today. Then verse 8 says even a child as small as a nursing child, a baby, will be able to play right on the hole of the old poisonous snake, the asp. No fear. Verse 9 adds that a weaned child shall put his hand on a cockatrice’s den, another venomous thing to be feared. No fear. The next verse says they shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

Isaiah 11:8

And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den.
