Les Feldick Bible Study

Does the Bible say there are only two kinds of people, saved and lost?

Yes. Scripture declares that today every person is in one of two categories: lost and hell bound, or saved and heaven bound. There are only two classes of people in the world—either in Christ or out—with no halfway position between them.

Les explains that most of Christendom feels that if you do everything right, hang on, and meet certain conditions, you might make it, but the book never says that. Instead, it says you are in one of two categories: lost and hell bound, or saved and heaven bound. There are only two classes of people in the world: you are either in Christ or out, with no halfway in between. Being led by the Spirit means you are the sons of God, born of God—the Greek word technon, the born ones. Les also notes that Paul’s use of “adoption” differs from modern culture; it reflects the Greek and Roman practice of placing the eldest son under tutors until he was fully educated and could step beside the father.

Romans 8:14

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
