Who did we walk according to in times past according to Ephesians 2:2?

According to Ephesians 2:2, in times past we walked according to the course of this world, and according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience. Paul teaches that before believing, we were no different from the rest of the world.

Les explains that Ephesians 2:1 says we were dead in trespasses and sins, and verse 2 says in times past we walked according to the course of this world. He notes that as believers we were once like everybody else, but before we believed we were no different. Les also points to the verse's further description: according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience, and says we were part and parcel of that. He illustrates with a man who once would have been in the crowd but now would rather be studying the Word, showing the change belief brings.
