Before they were saved, how did believers live according to Ephesians 2:3?

According to Ephesians 2:3, believers formerly lived in the lusts of the flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and mind. Their past lifestyle was according to this world and Satan, the prince of the power of the air, doing what comes naturally under the old nature.

Les teaches that Ephesians 2:3 describes the believer’s past life before salvation. He explains that all believers came out of the same kind of lifestyle as the unsaved world. In times past, their conversation or lifestyle was in the lusts or desires of the flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind. They were by nature doing what comes naturally, which meant abiding by the old nature under Satan’s control. This follows the earlier context of being dead in trespasses and sins, walking according to the course of this world and according to the prince of the power of the air, Satan, the spirit that works in the children of disobedience.
