What does Ephesians 2:2 teach about what unsaved people, including believers before conversion, walked according to?

Ephesians 2:2 teaches that in times past the unsaved, and believers before conversion, walked according to the course of this world and according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit now working in the children of disobedience. Before believing, they were no different from everyone else and were part of that same disobedience.

Les explains that Ephesians 2:1 first declares the whole human race dead in trespasses and sins, and believers too were once dead in trespasses and sins. Then verse 2 says, "wherein in times past ye walked according to the course of this world." Les says we were like everybody else; before we became believers we were no different. The verse continues that this walk was "according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience," and Les says we were part and parcel of that. He illustrates with a man who once would have been with the crowd and never dreamed of going to a Bible study, but now would rather be studying the Word, showing this is exactly how it has to work.
