What does the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus do for us according to Romans 8:2?

The law of the Spirit in Christ Jesus gives us a fact of life we can experience seven days a week. It totally sets us apart from the other fact of life, sin and death, which has been tied together since Adam sinned and brought death. The Gospel is the only remedy.

Les explains that Romans chapter 8 presents the law of the Spirit in Christ Jesus as a fact of life we can experience seven days a week. It totally sets us apart from the other fact of life, which is sin and death. That other fact of life is an everyday experience for the whole world, because sin and death are tied together. Les reminds us it began when Adam ate: as soon as he ate, he sinned, and the minute he sinned, death came. Sin and death have been tied together ever since Adam took that first bite. There is only one remedy, and that is the Gospel, that Christ died, was buried, and rose from the dead. Les also notes that cliches such as just take Jesus into your life circumvent the Gospel. He recalls the hell, fire, and brimstone preaching of his youth, saying it was not all wrong but was totally overdone and scared people.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
