What has the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus done according to Romans 8:2?

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. It sets one free from that established, absolute, everyday law of sin and death, a fact of life operating daily.

Les teaches that the word “law” in Romans 8:2 must be understood by context, just as he explained earlier when dealing with chapter 5. Sometimes “law” describes a fact of everyday living, like the Law of Gravity—what goes up must come down—or the Law of Buoyancy, which no man can change. In verse 2, the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus is that same kind of established reality: it has made me, or set me, free from the law of sin and death, another absolute, fundamental fact that was operating every day. The Spirit of life in Christ Jesus therefore frees from the daily law of sin and death.

Romans 8:2

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
