What does 'the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus' mean in Romans 8?

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus means the Spirit’s life-giving reality in Christ—a daily experience that sets believers apart from the worldwide fact of sin and death. Its only remedy is the Gospel: Christ died, was buried, and rose from the dead.

Les teaches that the law of the Spirit in Christ Jesus is “that fact of life that we can experience 7 days a week,” and it totally sets us apart from the other fact of life, which is sin and death. That other fact is an everyday experience for the whole world, because sin and death are tied together. It began when Adam ate and sinned, and the minute he sinned, death came. The only remedy is the Gospel—that Christ died, was buried, and rose from the dead. Les also notes that clichés like “just take Jesus into your life” circumvent the Gospel, and he recalls hell-fire preaching as overdone and fear-inducing.
