Does the Bible teach a system of worship for Christians today?
Scripture does not prescribe a system of worship for this age of grace. Christ nailed all that to His cross, and believers are now free. Paul says to regard every day alike; Sunday is not set above the other six days. Offerings are brought on the first day of the week, but no special holy day is taught.
Les teaches that the book says nothing about practicing a system of worship in this age of grace, because Christ nailed all that to His cross and believers are now free. He cites Paul's words about not regarding one day higher than another but regarding every day alike. Les notes he has nothing against Sunday, but even Sunday is not taught in Scripture as a special holy day above the other six. Every day is alike for the believer; we are to serve God Monday through Friday as much as Saturday and Sunday. He then turns to Galatians 4, where Paul wrote against Judaizers who tried to convince Gentiles to keep the Law if they wanted to experience salvation, warning them not to fall into legalism. Les says the same temptation exists today, since legalism appeals to human ego.
