Les Feldick Bible Study

Does the Bible teach a system of worship for believers in this age of grace?

No. In this age of grace Scripture prescribes no system of worship; Christ nailed it to His cross, leaving believers free. Romans 13 says regard every day alike, and the book does not set Sunday above the other six days. Every day belongs to God.

Les explains that the book says nothing about practicing a system of worship in this age of grace, because Christ nailed all that to His cross and believers are now free. He points to Romans 13, where Paul says not to regard one day higher than another but to regard every day alike. Les notes he has nothing against Sunday, but Scripture does not establish Sunday as a special holy day above the other six days. Paul merely mentions coming together and bringing offerings on the first day of the week. For the believer every day is alike; we are to serve God as much Monday through Friday as Saturday and Sunday. This was all nailed to His cross. Les also connects it to Galatians 4, where Paul wrote against Judaizers who said Gentiles had to keep the Law for salvation, and warns against legalism today.
