Can Christians bring Old Testament religious practices into their worship today?
No. In the age of grace, believers have no right whatsoever to bring Old Testament religious practices into Christian worship. There is no room for priestly robes, miters, feast days, holy days, or special high days. Scripture, including Colossians 2:14, excludes incorporating Judaism’s services into the church age.
Les teaches that in this age of grace there is no right whatsoever to bring so-called religious practices into our system of worship. He says there is no room in true Christianity for the robes and miters the high priests used, nor for feast days and holy days. He notes he does not make a big deal over the commotion of Christmas and Easter, telling people it is not biblical. Nothing in the Book gives the right to celebrate certain high days, the birth of Christ, or a special holy day of Easter; he says that comes out of paganism and Old Testament Judaism. Although Judaism was the system God gave Israel, Les says we are not to incorporate any of Judaism’s services into the church age, pointing to Colossians 2:14.
