What does God promise to do in the New Covenant in Jeremiah 31:33?

God promises to put His law in their inward parts and write it on their hearts, and He will be their God, and they shall be His people. This covenant is not dependent on Israel's choice; it becomes reality when Christ returns and the remnant believes.

Les teaches that this is the New Covenant. In contrast to the covenant made with the fathers when God brought them out of Egypt, which they broke over and over again, God says He will put His law in their inward parts and write it in their hearts. He will be their God, and they shall be His people. Les explains that this will not be Israel's own choice; that company of Jews will not simply decide to follow God. When Christ returns and sets up His Kingdom, the remnant kept through the tribulation will see Him coming in the clouds of glory and believe in a moment. As Isaiah 66 indicates, the nation will be born in a moment, and the remnant Paul deals with in Romans 9, 10, and 11 will be born in a day spiritually. Then the New Covenant becomes reality, and God will put His Word, His commandments, in their heart.

Jeremiah 31:33

But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
