What does God do for Israel when the New Covenant becomes a reality?

When the New Covenant becomes reality, God puts His law in Israel's inward parts and writes it on their hearts, so He will be their God and they shall be His people. This follows Christ's return and the remnant's national rebirth in a day; it is God's sovereign work, not Israel's choice.

Les explains that the New Covenant is not like the covenant God made with the fathers when He took them by the hand to bring them out of Egypt, which they broke repeatedly, although He was a husband to them. Instead, after those days, God says He will put His law in their inward parts and write it in their hearts; He will be their God, and they shall be His people. Les emphasizes this is not Israel's choice—the company of Jews will not suddenly decide to follow God. When Christ returns and sets up His Kingdom, the remnant kept through the tribulation will see Him coming in the clouds of glory and believe in a moment. The nation will be born in a day spiritually, and then the New Covenant becomes a reality, with God putting His Word and commandments in their heart.

Jeremiah 31:33

But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Isaiah 66
